Passengers: individuals who request or receive transportation, including those who receive transportation requested by another individual
Drivers: individuals who provide transportation to passengers either individually or through partner transportation companies
The Information We Collect
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US
We may ask you to provide us with certain protected information. We may collect this information through various means and in various places through the services. including account registration forms, contact us forms, or when you otherwise interact with us. When you sign up to use the services, you create a user profile. We shall ask you to provide only such Protected Information which is for lawful purpose connected with our Services and necessary to be collected by us for such purpose.
We collect data when users place orders (including using guest checkout) or create or update their Zigzag car accounts. This may include their name, email, phone number, login name and password, address, profile picture, payment or banking information (including related payment verification information), driver’s licence and other government identification documents (which may indicate document numbers as well as birth date, gender, and photo). This also includes vehicle or insurance information of drivers and delivery persons, emergency contact information, user settings, and evidence of health or fitness to provide services using Zigzag car apps.
If you decide to sign up through your Facebook account, we will also get basic information from your Facebook profile like your name, gender, profile photo, and information regarding your friends.
We may use the photos submitted by users to verify their identities, such as through facial verification technologies and others.
We will get your card details when you add a credit card or other payment method to your Zigzag Car account. We do not keep a copy of the data from your credit card on our systems in order to protect your financial safety.
Call and Text Information:
We receive information about the communications between drivers and passengers including the date and time of the call or SMS message, the parties’ phone numbers, and the content of any SMS messages.
Zigzag car always make sure that the passengers are enjoying quality service. Passengers and Drivers may rate and review each other at the end of each ride. Zigzag car will receive information regarding the ratings and reviews for both the passengers. When you rate and provide feedback about passengers or Drivers, we collect all of the information you provide in your feedback.
When you contact us or we contact you, we collect any information that you provide, including the contents of the messages or attachments you send us.
Address Book Contacts:
You can add emergency contact list/number in your Zigzag car app that will be uploaded to the server to maintain the record. You can share your location details with your emergency contact numbers while you are taking the ride. You have to bear standard SMS charge for this service.
Your name, email address, phone number, birth date, profile photo, physical address, government identification number (such as social security number), information about your driver's licence, details about your vehicle, and details about your auto insurance will all be collected if you apply to be a Driver. We gather the payment data you give us, such as your bank account numbers and routing number. Depending on where you wish to drive, we might also need further details about your driving licence or permit or other documents in order to handle your driving and any programs that are applicable there. After you become a Driver, we might occasionally need more information from you, including such confirmation for your identification (like a photo).
Information We Collect When You Use the Zigzag car Platform
Great rides start with an easy and accurate pickup. The zigzag car Platform collects location information (including GPS and WiFi data) differently depending on your Zigzag car app settings and device permissions as well as whether you are using the platform as a Passenger or Driver.
Passengers: While you launch and use the Zigzag app, as well as when the app is active in the background from the time you request a trip until it is finished, we collect your device's precise location. .
Drivers: When you open and use the app, even when it's running in the background while in driver mode, we collect information about your device's specific location. Additionally, we continue to collect precise location information until a reported or detected event is no longer active after you exit driver mode in order to locate ride incidents.
Zigzag receives information from Users' devices such as IP address, web browser type, mobile operating system version, phone carrier and manufacturer, application installations, device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, push notification tokens, and, if you register with your Facebook account, your Facebook identifier. Vehicle tracking systems (VTS) provide us with vehicle information such as speed, height, direction, acceleration or deceleration to increase location accuracy and evaluate usage patterns.
We collect information about your use of the Zigzag car Platform, including ride information like the date, time, destination, distance, route, payment, and whether you used a promotional or referral code. We also collect information about your interactions with the Zigzag car Platform like our apps and websites, including the pages and content you view and the dates and times of your use.
Communications Between Passengers and Drivers
We receive information about the communications between drivers and passengers including the date and time of the call or SMS message, the parties’ phone numbers, and the content of any SMS messages. For security purposes, we may also monitor or record the contents of phone calls made through the Zigzag Car Platform, but we will always let you know we are about to do so before the call begins. Zigzag may use the information to enable communications between our passengers and drivers. For example, a passenger may get a call/ text from drivers to confirm pickup location or vice versa.
Address Book Contacts
You can add an emergency contact list/number in your Zigzag car app, which will be uploaded to the server to maintain the record, as well as share your location details with your emergency contact numbers while on the journey.
We value your feedback. Zigzag car always ensures that its passengers receive quality service. At the end of each ride, passengers and drivers may rate and review each other. Zigzag car will receive information regarding the ratings and reviews for both the passengers and drivers.
Information We Collect from Third Parties
If you choose to register for Zigzag car through third party’s service for example: Facebook, we may receive some information from those services.
Background check providers, insurance partners, financial service providers, marketing providers, and other businesses are examples of third-party services. These third-party services provide us with following information about you:
Information to make the Zigzag Platform safer, such as background check information for drivers. Zigzag may receive information from any government organisation or law enforcement body about a driver’s driving record or criminal history.
Information about your participation in third-party programs that provide insurance coverage and financial instruments, such as insurance, payment, transaction, and fraud detection information;
Other Users and Sources
Other users or public or third-party sources such as law enforcement, insurers, media, or pedestrians may provide us information about you, for example as part of an investigation into an incident or to provide you support

How We Share Your Information
Sharing Information with Zigzag User :
If you are a passenger, we may share your name, driver rating, and pickup and/or drop off locations with our drivers. We may exchange information such as your name and photo; your vehicle name, model, colour, licence plate, your valid phone number, your location, and your average rating provided by our passengers if you are a driver. A receipt containing information such as charges, your name, photo, a map of the route you took, and other transaction information will be provided to the passenger recipient.

Zigzag car provides individual data with vendors, consultants, marketing partners, research organisations, and other service or business partners. We disclose your personal information to service providers to fulfil the following business purposes::

Zigzag enables users to access and/or control data that Zigzag collects, including through:
The Zigzag app's Privacy Settings menu allows users to choose or update their location and emergency contact list, as well as receive Zigzag notification alerts.
You can always unsubscribe from our commercial or promotional emails by clicking unsubscribe in those messages. We will still send you transactional and relational emails about your use of the Zigzag Platform.
Location data collection :
You can prevent your device from sharing location information by changing the system settings on your device. However, if you do, Zigzag may not be able to provide you with our full range of features and services.
Push Notifications :
You can disable push notifications in your device's settings. Please keep in mind that opting out of receiving push notifications may have an impact on your use of the Zigzag Platform (such as receiving a notification that your ride has arrived).
You can review and edit certain account information you have chosen to add to your profile by logging in to your account settings and profile.
Most mobile platforms have specified which sorts of device data apps cannot access without your permission. Before you use the Zigzag app, your devices will notify you of the permissions it needs, and your usage of the app constitutes your approval.
After every trip, drivers and passengers will be able to rate each other, as well as adding comments about the trip. This rating will be available in the main menu of the Zigzag User app.
We may update this policy as the Zigzag Platform develops and privacy laws change. If we update it, we will do so online, and if we make any significant changes, we will notify you via the Zigzag Platform or another way of contact, such as email.
